Anna Cardwell, the sister and heir of reality TV star Honey Boo Boo, passed away at the age of 29.
In January 2023, Anna Cardwell received an adrenal cancer diagnosis.
Alana Thompson, 18, better known online as Honey Boo Boo, wrote on Instagram, “Anna was in a lot of pain last night, but now we all know she is at peace.”
Prior to becoming well-known on her family’s program, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” Anna was first featured on the pageant program “Toddlers and Tiaras.”
Under a photo of her family, Honey Boo Boo wrote, “My heart is completely shattered.” It was difficult to watch my 29-year-old sister battle this horrible illness last year. Anna is and was a warrior.”
“I know you will always support me from heaven, but I wish you could be here to see me graduate from college,” she said. We’ll see to it that your legacy endures forever.”
The identical photo was shared on Instagram by June Shannon, 44, her mother, who stated that her daughter had “fought for 10 months.”
Shannon declared in May that Anna Cardwell was in the fourth stage of the disease.
From 2012 to 2014, the family’s own reality TV program featured Thompson competing in beauty pageants starting at the age of 6
On the show, Alana was accompanied by her parents and three sisters, Anna Cardwell, later known as Anna Shannon, who went by the moniker “Chickadee.”
Concerns concerning child exploitation were voiced, and the show received backlash for how it portrayed children. After four seasons, it was canceled due to rumors that Honey Boo Boo’s mother was having sex with a registered offender.

Additional reality TV appearances by the family have included “Marriage Boot Camp” and “The Masked Singer.”
They currently appear on the American reality show “Mama June: From Not to Hot,” which follows June Shannon as she attempts to lose weight.
